For the mass, momentum and energy consenvation equations of a two-fluid plasma coupled to Maxwell equations are written down. Since the system of equations is not locally hyperbolic, the authors show that in spite of that the numerical scheme -- used by R. Naidoo, S. Baboodal on one hand and N. Nessyahu and E. Tadmore on the other -- one can expect that the scheme functions under weaker couditions. The paper bears testimony to this. The linear stability analysis of the scheme indicates that the method remains stable under a certain limit. Under such preliminaries modelling of magnetosonic shocks gives consistent results with earlier simulations. The solitons investigation gave clear isolated pulses as popposed to solitary trains. Although these calculations were carried out in one spatial direction, similar computations are hopeful in two and three space dimensions.
