The authors consider the three point boundary value problem for the difference equation \[ \Delta(\varphi_p(\Delta u(k)))+ q(k)f(k,u(k),\Delta u(k))=0,\quad 0\leq k\leq T \] \[ \Delta u(T+1)=0,\qquad u(0)-B_0(\Delta u(\xi))=0,\quad 0\leq\xi<T \] under the following basic assumptions: \(f\) is continuous in all arguments, \(q(k)\geq 0\), \(0\leq k\leq T\), \(0<\sum_1^Tq(i)<\infty\). The function \(B_0(v)\) is continuous, non-decreasing, odd on \((-\infty,\infty)\) and there exists \(m>0\) such that \(0\leq B_0(v)\leq mv\), \(\forall v\geq 0\). The authors use fixed point arguments and impose growth conditions on \(f\) in order to obtain existence of at least three positive solutions for the three point boundary value problem.
