    Let \(X\) be a Banach space, \(J\) the half-line, \({\mathcal A} \subset L^1_{\text{loc}}(J, X)\), \(\Phi\in L^{\infty}({\mathbb R}, X)\) and the \({\mathcal A}\)-spectrum \[ \text{sp}_{\mathcal A}\Phi:=\{\omega \in {\mathbb R}: f \in L^1 ({\mathbb R}, {\mathbb C})\text{ and }\Phi*f| J \in {\mathcal A}\text{ implies } \widehat {f}(\omega)=0\}. \] The authors prove that under some hypotheses \[ \text{sp}_{\mathcal A}\phi \subset \text{sp}_w(\phi| {\mathbb R}_+), \] where, for \(\psi \in L^{\infty}({\mathbb R}_+,X)\), \(sp_w\psi\) is the weak half-line (Laplace) spectrum of \(\psi\). They extend a spectral characterization and some other results to unbounded functions, generalizing recent results for uniformly continuous bounded functions and they give applications to convolution systems.
