Reduction and reconstruction for symmetric ordinary differential equations (Q2482093)

This interesting paper is about the reduction and reconstruction for symmetric ordinary differential equations. These equations possess a linear symmetry group. The basic results obtained are related to unipotent symmetry groups which satisfy finiteness conditions for invariants. These extend to certain solvable groups. Also they lead to a constructive approach for semisimple linear group of symmetries. A natural framework for the reduction, for the construction of symmetric vector fields as well as for the reconstruction of solutions is given.
