A graph is called one-regular if its automorphism group acts regularly on its arc set. In this paper the authors construct a new family of one-regular Cayley graphs on dihedral groups of any prescribed valency. All of these graphs have cyclic vertex stabilizers and girth 6. Moreover, the 5-valent one-regular Cayley graphs on dihedral groups are classified, continuing of Marušič and Pisanski's classification of cubic one-regular Cayley graphs on dihedral groups [\textit{D. Marušič} and \textit{T. Pisanski}, Croat. Chemica Acta 73, 969--981 (2000)]. The authors also construct, with only finitely many possible exceptions, all one-regular Cayley graphs on dihedral groups of any prescribed prime valency. This seems to be an important paper for anyone working on one-regular Cayley graphs.
