Singularities of the envelope of curves tangent to a semi-cubic cusp (Q2487417)

The paper deals with the envelope of a one-parameter family of curves tangent to a curve \(\gamma\) which has a semicubic cusp \(O\) such that the radius of curvature at the point of contact vanishes as the point approaches the cusp \(O\). The author shows that in the generic case the closure of the envelope has two branches, one of which is \(\gamma\). The other branch has a semicubic cusp at \(O\) too and the tangent line is the same as that of \(\gamma\). There are also results on the non generic and dual case as well as normal forms of the equation of the envelope.
