Applications of the theory of degenerate operator semigroups to initial-boundary-value problems (Q2487457)

After recalling several concepts and results concerning relatively \(p\)-sectorial operators and analytic semigroups, the author investigates the \(P(A)\)-spectrum structure of an operator function \(Q(A)\), in particular, when \(P\) and \(Q\) are polynomials. Some examples are given as applications of the obtained results to initial boundary value problems in abstract form as the Cauchy problem associated with the equation \(P(A)\dot u(t)= Q(A)u(t)+f(t)\).
