This paper concerns some results for the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions to the following Cauchy problem: \[ \begin{cases} \frac{\partial u_i}{\partial t}=a_i\bigl(|\nabla u_i|^{m_i-2}\nabla u_i\bigr)-b_i u_p^{p_i}u^{q_i}_2,\text{ in }\mathbb{R}^H\times(0,+\infty)\\ u_i(x,0)= u_{0i}(x),\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^H,\end{cases} \] where \(m_i>2\), \(p_i\), \(q_i\), \(q_i>0\), \(b_i\geq 0\), \(u_{0i}\geq 0\) and \(i\in\{ 1,2\}\). This problem describes the dynamics of two interacting biological populations. Non-extinction, coexistence, expansion of the living spaces are also established.
