    In 1939, Turán has shown that if a polynomial \(p(z)\) of degree \(n\) has all its zeros in \(| z| \leq 1\), then \[ \max_{| z| =1}| p^{\prime}(z)| \geq \frac{n}{2}\max_{| z| =1}| p(z)| .\tag{1} \] This result was generalized by N. K. Govil, who has shown, in particular, that if \(p(z)\) has all its zeros in \(| z| \leq K\), \(K\geq 1\), then \[ \max_{| z| =1}| p^{\prime}(z)| \geq \frac{n}{1+K^n}\max_{| z| =1}| p(z)| .\tag{2} \] In the paper under review, the authors establish further generalizations and refinements of inequalities (1) and (2). Reviewer's remark. Inequality (1) is incorrectly stated in the abstract of the paper.
