The authors discuss a delayed reaction-diffusion Lotka-Volterra type model for prey and adult predator interaction, with stage structure for the predator and time delay due to maturity. The introduction refers to earlier work by \textit{W. G. Aiello} and \textit{H. I. Freedman} [Math. Biosci. 101, No.~2, 139--153 (1990; Zbl 0719.92017)] and \textit{J. F. M. Al-Omari} and \textit{S. A. Gourley} [SIAM J. Appl. Math. 63, No.~6, 2063--2086 (2003; Zbl 1058.92037)]. Assumptions underlying the derivation of the model under discusson are stated and biological interpretation is included throughout the paper. A lemma concerning the convergence of the solution to a scalar reaction-diffusion equation with homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions is stated and proved, the proof citing arguments developed by \textit{C. V. Pao} [Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl. 48, No.~3(A), 349--362 (2002; Zbl 0992.35105)]. Global convergence of the positive solutions of the problem is established using the coupled upper-lower solution technique, outlined earlier in the paper for the scalar case. Two theorems (Theorems 2.1 and 2.2), with different assumptions relating to \(\int_0^\tau f(s)e^{-\gamma s}\,ds\), are stated and proved, thus establishing sufficient conditions to guarantee that positive solutions converge to the unique, positive, uniform equilibrium (Theorem 2.1) or to the semi-trivial uniform equilibrium (Theorem 2.2).
