The moduli space of torus sextics with the configuration of singularities \(\{A_2+A_5+2E_6\}\) has two connected components. Here the authors compute the fundamental groups \(\pi _1(\mathbb {P}^2 \backslash C)\) for sextics \(C\) in both components and study their differences. For related works, see \textit{C. Eyral} and \textit{M. Oka} [J. Math. Soc. Japan 57, 37--54 (2005; Zbl 1070.14031)], \textit{M. Oka} and \textit{D. T. Pho} [in: Trends in Singularities 151--180 (2001; Zbl 1054.14022)], \textit{M.
