The authors consider the two-point nonlinear boundary value problem \[ -\ddot u=g(t,u),\;t\in(0,\pi),\quad u(0)=u(\pi)=0,\tag{1} \] where \(g:[0,\pi]\times\mathbb{R} \to\mathbb{R}\) is a continuously differentiable function satisfying \(g(t,0)\equiv 0\) for \(t\in[0,\pi]\). Several existence theorems on multiple solutions for the boundary value problem (1) are proved.
