Finite-element method for time-dependent Maxwell's equations based on an explicit-magnetic-field scheme (Q2496277)

The author performs the convergence analysis of the finite-element method for time-dependent Maxwell's equations using a decoupled scheme. The electric field equation is solved by an implicit Euler scheme with spatial finite-element discretization, whereas the magnetic field can be obtained explicitely from the curl of the electric field. The author shows, that the proposed explicit magnetic-field scheme has expected convergence rates and reports on some numerical tests.
