Maximal operators related to the Ornstein--Uhlenbeck semigroup with complex time parameter (Q2499255)

Let \(\gamma\) be the Gussian measure in \(\mathbb{R}^d\), \((H_t)_{t\geq 0}\) the corresponding Ornstein-Uhlenbeck semigroup, and \(E_p\subset C\) the closure of the region of holomorphy of the mapping \(t\mapsto H_t\) taking values in the space of bounded operators on \(L_\gamma^p\), \(1<p <\infty\). It is shown that for \(p> 2\), \(f\mapsto \sup\{|H_zf|:z\in E_p\}\) is of weak type but not of strong type \((p,p)\) for \(\gamma\), while \(f \mapsto:\sup\{|H_zf|:z\in E_p\), \(\text{dist}(z,\pi Z)> \varepsilon\}\) is of strong type for every \(\varepsilon >0\).
