The authors investigate a model of apparent-type gyrostat satellite. It is supposed that the satellite moves in a circular orbit, and angular velocity of its mass center is constant. The rotor is symmetrical, and the system is conservative. The authors suppose that the Hamiltonian is ``near-integrable'', and its ``non-integrable part'' is small and characterizes the influence of gravitation. It is shown that the system has two saddle type and four center-type singular points. When the rotation velocity increases, the saddle type points dissapear. The authors give also a numerical analysis by employing the second-order Poincaré map and Lyapunov characteristic exponents.
