One of the most important identities if the field of basic series is the Bailey's very well-poised \(_6\psi_6\)-series identity. There are several proofs of this identity and in the present paper the author present a new one based on the Abel's method of summation by parts and the Jacobi's triple product identity. Using the same technique the author obtains an identity for the \(_{10}\psi_{10}\)-series, which contains Shukla's formula (1959) as special case. Finally, some bibasic hypergeometric series summation are obtained that includes, as a particular case, the Gasper identity for the \(_{10}\phi_{9}\)-series.
