The authors give a new proof of Bailey's very-well-poised \(_6 \psi_6\) summation formula by using well-known Cauchy's method. Earlier other proofs of same Bailey's celebrated \(_6\psi_6\) summation formula were given by Bailey, Slater and Lakin, Andrews, Askey and Ismail and second author of this note.
