Using an approximation of the so-called admissible time-depending potentials by bounded ones, the authors develop first the theory of absorption propagators in \(L^p\)-spaces similar to the one obtained in the autonomous case [see \textit{J.~Voigt}, J.~Funct.\ Anal.\ 67, No.~2, 167--205 (1986; Zbl 0628.47027)]. They show that admissibility is related to Miyadera perturbations. In the second part of the paper, the authors obtain Gaussian upper and lower bounds for the perturbed propagator by a potential provided that the unperturbed one satisfies Gaussian estimates and a kind of forward and backward Miyadera condition holds for the potential. One of the main tools to obtain such estimates is an interpolation inequality for propagators. The authors find a very nice proof of this inequality based on complex interpolation.
