The author studies the \(L^p\) Dirichlet problem for the biharmonic equation \[ \begin{gathered} \Delta^2 u= 0\quad\text{in }\Omega,\\ u= f\in W^{1,p}(\partial\Omega),\;{\partial u\over\partial\nu}= g\in L^p(\partial\Omega)\quad\text{on }\partial\Omega,\\ (\nabla u)^*\in L^p(\partial\Omega),\end{gathered}\tag{1} \] where \(\Omega\) is a bounded domain in \(\mathbb R^n\) with Lipschitz boundary, \(\nu\) denotes the outward unit normal to \(\partial\Omega\) and \((\nabla u)^*\) is denoted the nontangential maximal function. The aim of this paper is twofold. First the author studies the case \(n\geq 8\) for which the question of the sharp ranges of \(p\) remains open for Lipschitz domains. Secondly, the author initiates the study of the \(L^p\) Dirichlet problem (1) on convex domains.
