The system of functional-differential equations \[ \frac{dx}{dt}=X(t,x_t) \] is considered. The main idea of the paper is to consider the limit equation \[ \frac{dx}{dt}=X^*(t,x_t), \] where \(X^*(t,\varphi)=\lim_{t_k\to\infty}X(t_k+t,\varphi)\). Using some properties of the limit equation and the Lyapunov-Razumikhin approach, the author establishes new theorems on asymptotic stability.
