Patterson-Sullivan measures are a fundamental tool for the study of discrete groups of isometries of manifolds with negative curvature. Recently, there has been an attempt to extend their definition to the study of discrete subgroups of higher rank semisimple Lie groups. This topic has been investigated by \textit{P. Albuquerque} [Geom. Funct. Anal. 9, No. 1, 1--28 (1999; Zbl 0954.53031)], the author [Geom. Funct. Anal. 14, No. 2, 400--432 (2004; Zbl 1058.22010)] and the reviewer [Geom. Funct. Anal. 12, No. 4, 776--809 (2002; Zbl 1169.22300)]. In the paper under review, the author generalizes the tools developed by Sullivan, Yue and Roblin to prove the ergodicity of Patterson-Sullivan measures for a certain class of groups of manifolds with negative curvature. She gives a criterion for ergodicity, and proves that it is satisfied in lattices of irreducible semisimple Lie groups of arbitrary rank.
