The authors study the existence of solution of a non-local flow associated to a free boundary problem for a trapped non-liquid drop. The drop has free boundary components on two horizontal plates and its free energy is anisotropic and axially symmetric. The authors prove that when the initial surface is axially symmetric with sufficiently large volume compared with its initial surface energy then the flow exists globally. Numerical simulations of the curvature flow were also presented.
