Let \(f:\mathbb{C}^2\rightarrow \mathbb{C}^2\) be a non-elementary polynomial automorphism of degree \(d\geq 2\) and let \(\delta\) be its Jacobian. If \(|\delta|<1/d^2\), then \(f\) is said to be moderately dissipative. Let \(\Omega\) be an invariant non-recurrent Fatou component of such an \(f\) with bounded forward orbits. The main result of this paper states that all orbits in \(\Omega\) converge to a parabolic point in the boundary of \(\Omega\) with multiplier 1. Combining this result with known results, the authors give a nearly complete classification of the dynamics on invariant Fatou components. The proof of the main result is done in five steps, which are outlined in sections 1 and 3. Many of the intermediate results in the paper hold in greater generalities. The authors also prove a similar result for holomorphic endomorphisms of \(\mathbb{P}^2\).
