The paper contains a review of the authors results and presents some new results, concerning many body wave scattering. Small scatterers of arbitrary shapes are considered, satisfying different types of boundary conditions: Dirichlet, impedance, Neumann and transmission (interface) boundary conditions. First, the author derives formulas for scattering amplitudes for one small body. Further solutions are obtained for many body scattering problems with various boundary conditions. The author also studies the limiting case, when the size \(a\) of scatterers tends to zero, while their number tends to infinity at an appropriate rate. Equations for the limiting effective field in the medium are derived. The general approach is based on the integral equations and asymptotics for their solutions as \(a \to 0\). The case of particles in an inhomogeneous medium is also considered.
