      The authors investigate the issue of overcoming the Gibbs phenomenon. They generalize the Gegenbauer polynomial based technique to reconstruct approximations with exponential accuracy in the maximum norm, based on collocation point values of the function. Several numerical results are given to illustrate this theory.
