The authors investigate the so-called Rosenau-RLW equation \[ u_{t} + \varepsilon u_{x} + \alpha u_{txx} + \beta u_{txxxx} + u u_{x} = 0, \tag{1} \] where \(\varepsilon > 0, \beta > 0\) and \(\alpha \in {\mathbb R}\) are constants. Equation (1) represents some regularized counterpart of the Rosenau - KdV equation. The paper is handling with the existence and stability of exact solitary wave solutions. This is realized by using some trigonometric function methods. The obtained solitary wave solutions reveal an intrinsic relationship between the amplitude, frequency and wave speed. The paper is very comprehensive and a lot of graphics illustrates the results.
