In the paper under review, the author studies resolving subcategories \(\mathcal{A}\) of the category \(Coh(X)\) of complexes of coherent sheaves over a quasi-projective scheme \(X\) over a noetherian affine scheme \(\mathrm{Spec}(A)\). Let \(\mathcal{D}^b(Coh(X))\) denote the bounded derived category of \(Coh(X)\). For a resolving subcategory \(\mathcal{A}\) and an integer \(k \geq 0\), the author establishes the following equivalences of categories: \[ \mathcal{D}^b(\mathbb{M}_g^k(\mathcal{A})) \rightarrow \mathcal{D}_g^k(\mathbb{M}_g^0(\mathcal{A})) \leftarrow \mathcal{D}_g^k(\mathcal{A}), \] where \(\mathbb{M}_g^k(\mathcal{A})\) is the category of sheaves \(\mathcal{F}\) with \(\dim_{\mathcal{A}} (\mathcal{F} ) < \infty\) and \(\mathrm{grade}(\mathcal{F} ) \geq k\), \(\mathcal{D}^b(\bullet)\) denotes the bounded derived category and \(\mathcal{D}_g^k(\bullet)\) denotes the subcategory of com- plexes in \(\mathcal{D}^b(\bullet)\) with grade of the homologies at least \(k\). The methods applied by the author emanate from the methodologies developed in the context of Witt theories, by constructing cones, with smaller width, of morphisms of complexes. Multiple applications of these equivalences to Witt theory and \(K\)-theory are also provided.
