A smooth flow on a manifold is called a \textit{nonsingular Morse Smale flow} if (1) the non-wandering set is a union of finitely many periodic orbits without singularities, (2) the Poincaré map of each periodic orbit is hyperbolic, and (3) the stable and unstable manifolds of each periodic orbit intersect transversely. Moreover, such a flow is said to have \textit{behavior 0} if there are no heteroclinic trajectories connecting saddle orbits, that is, no trajectory lies in the the unstable manifold of one periodic orbit and in the stable manifold of another. The author defines a combinatorial object called the \textit{weighted Lyapunov graph} for a given nonsingular Morse-Smale flow on a 3-manifold and uses this graph to study several aspects of nonsingular Morse-Smale flows having behavior 0 on the 3-dimensional sphere \(S^3\). In particular, he classifies up to topological equivalence the behavior 0 nonsingular Morse-Smale flows on \(S^3\) with at most 4 periodic orbits.
