A bifurcation-type theorem for singular nonlinear elliptic equations (Q2516210)

The authors study a parametric nonlinear Dirichlet problem with a \(p\)-Laplace operator as well as the combination of singular and superlinear operators. The bifurcation type character with respect to positive solutions is shown. Namely, the existence of a positive \(\lambda^*\) is shown, such that for parameters bigger than \(\lambda^*\) the problem has no positive solutions, for the parameter equal to \(\lambda^*\) the problem has at least one positive solution and for parameters less than \(\lambda^*\) the problem has at least two positive solutions.
