The first part of the paper contains definitions and main properties of quasi-bi-Hamiltonian systems. In the second part, new results are derived. It is proved that quasi-bi-Hamiltonian systems with compact level sets are separable and a characterization of quasi-bi-Hamiltonian systems is given. The work is concluded by the remark that a quasi-bi-Hamiltonian structure always exists in systems with 2 degrees of freedom and that the authors find providing counterexamples for more degrees of freedom cases is very difficult.
