The authors obtain several results on bivariate Horn systems. It is obtained a formula for the rank of a system of two hypergeometric equations in two variables when the parameters are generic. This rank is equal to \(3\) for \(F_1\) and to \(4\) for Horn's \(G_3\). A Horn system \(\text{Horn}({\mathcal B},c)\) is defined as a left ideal in a Weyl algebra \(D_m\) and it is proved that such a system is holonomic and its rank is equal to \(d_1d_2-\sum\,\nu_{ij}\), with the sum of the indices corresponding to linearly dependent rows \(b_i\), \(b_j\). There are given the \(A\)-hypergeometric solutions. The author also describes the space of Puiseux polynomial solutions of \(\text{Horn}({\mathcal B},c)\). The paper also contains descriptions of solutions to hypergeometric recurrences with finite support and solutions of hypergeometric systems arising from lattices. For fully supported hypergeometric functions there is given an explicit construction.
