The main topic of the present paper can be summarized as follows: for \(f\) an analytic function in the unit disk \(D\), \(f'\in H^p\) implies \(f\) belonging to a certain space of analytic functions. For instance, Privalov's theorem claims that \(f'\in H^1\) implies \(f\in A\), the disc algebra. Hardy and Littlewood proved that \(\Lambda(p,t)\subset\Lambda_\alpha\), where \(\Lambda(p,t)\) is the set of analytic functions \(f\) with \(f'\in H^p\), \(1<p\leq\infty\), and \(\Lambda_\alpha\) the standard Lipschitz space of order \(\alpha=1-1/p\). The first result by the authors says that this inclusion is in general false when \(\Lambda(p,t)\) is replaced by \(\Lambda(p,\omega)\) with certain generalized weights \(\omega\), which satisfy the Dini condition and \(\limsup_{x\to 0}\omega(x)/x=+\infty\). The authors also study the class of analytic functions \(f\) in \(D\) with the following property: \(f'=g_1g_2\) with \(g_1\in H^{p}\) and \[ \max_{| z| \leq r<1}| g_2(z)| =O\bigl((1-r)^{-1/q}\bigr), \qquad p^{-1}+q^{-1}=1. \] As it turns out each such function \(f\in \text{VMOA}\). On the other hand, the example of unbounded function from this class is also found.
