Chern classes of analytic sets (Q2567985)

Let \(V\) be a compact complex analytic subset of a non-singular holomorphic manifold having pure complex dimension \(n\). For each desingularization of \(V\) the authors define Chern classes in the homology of \(V\). While the classes depend on the choice of the desingularization, they may be applied to foliations and to Milnor numbers and classes of the singular part of \(V\).
