The authors consider a relationship between the Jacobians of isospectral compact surfaces constructed using Sunada's theorem. They use an algebraic method of transplantation of holomorphic 1-forms and singular 1-cycles to obtain the main results. First, they show that Sunada isospectral Riemann surfaces have isogenous Jacobians, which is a more geometric proof of a result obtained earlier by Prasad and Rajan. Second, they determine a weaker relationship that holds among the Jacobians of Sunada isospectral Riemann surfaces when the Jacobians extra structure as principally polarized abelian varietes is taken into account. They also show that all Sunada isospectral manifolds have isomorphic real cohomology algebras. Finally, they exhibit transplantations of cycles explicitly in a concrete example of a pair of isospectral Riemann surfaces constructed by Brooks and Tse.
