The authors are dealing with the existence of periodic solutions to the \(n\)th-order delay differential equation \[ x^{(n)}(t)=\sum_{i=1}^{n-1}a_{i}x^{(i)}(t)+f(t,x(t),x(t-\tau_1(t)),\dots ,x(t-\tau_{m}(t))),\quad t\in \mathbb R, \] and to its special cases, when n is even or odd. Here, \(\tau_{i},\;i=1,2,\dots m\), are continuous \(\omega\)-periodic functions, \(f\) is a continuous function and \(f(\cdot,x_1,\dots ,x_m)\) is an \(\omega\)-periodic function for all \((x_1,\dots,x_m)\in \mathbb R^m\), and \(a_i\in \mathbb R\) for \(i=1,2,\dots m\). Using the method, which is based upon the coincidence degree theory, they obtain sufficient results for the existence of \(\omega\)-periodic solutions for the above equations. Appropriate examples illustrate the results obtained.
