A two-dimensional \(p\)-adic Lie group \(L\) is considered, namely, the group of affine transformations of the line over the \(p\)-adic integers \({\mathbb Z}_p.\) For any open subgroup \(G\) of \(L\), its completed group ring \({\mathbb Z}_p[[G]]\) is defined as the projective limit of the group rings \({\mathbb Z}_p[G/U]\) where \(U\) runs over all open normal subgroups of \(G.\) The group \(K_1({\mathbb Z}_p[[G]])\) is studied via linear representations of \(G.\) The motivation comes from non-commutative Iwasawa theory.
