The authors propose a discrete Fourier method for constructing a stable numerical solution of strongly coupled mixed hyperbolic equations. Using the Crank-Nicholson scheme the exact solution of the discretized problem is found. The stability of the discrete solution is analyzed and illustrative examples are included.
