Let \(R\) be a ring and \(J\) its Jacobson radical. If \(R\) is right coherent with the property that every two-sided ideal is finitely generated as right ideal if and only if it is finitely generated as right ideal and the socle of \(R\) is finitely generated as right ideal, then \(R\) is two-sided Artinian and \(J\) is a right annilator ideal if and only if for any right module there is a nonzero homomorphism to a projective module and any right ideal contains a maximal right submodule. The author introduces the notion of \(X\)-ring, as those rings \(R\) with the property that \(\Hom_R(M,R)=0\) implies that \(M=0\) for any right \(R\)-module \(M\). It is shown that some left Goldie and \(X\)-rings are right Artinian. Motivated by the Faith conjecture, several connections between the classes of \(X\)-rings and quasi-Frobenius (QF)-rings are stablished.
