Let \(F\) be a field of characteristic 0 and let \(W\) be an affine PI algebra over \(F\). One of the keystones in the modern PI theory is Kemer's representability theorem. It guarantees that there exists a field extension \(L\) of \(F\) and a finite dimensional \(L\)-algebra \(A\) that is PI equivalent to \(W\). More precisely if \(W_L=W\otimes_F L\) then \(A\) and \(W_L\) satisfy the same polynomial identities over \(L\). We only mention here that the representability theorem is one of the main ingredients in the positive solution to the Specht problem given by Kemer. The main goal of the paper under review is to provide another proof of the above mentioned theorem. The proof given here is really new. It makes use of the so called Razmyslov-Zubrilin traces. Let us mention that the proof given here is rather detailed and there are no parts of it marked as ``obvious'' or given as an ``easy exercise'' to the reader.
