Using periodic splines in one dimension, discrete orthogonal projections on spline spaces are studied in this article. Bases for the spline spaces are created which are used to find a suitable formulation for the discrete orthogonal projections. Convergence theorems are presented as well as stability results. The paper ends with an example for the orthogonal projections.
