Eine Lösung der Gleichung \(F(D)y = e^{ax}\) mit \(F(D) =c_0D^n+ c_1D^{n-1}+\cdots +c_n\) wird gegeben durch \(\dfrac{e^{ax}}{F(a)}\), symbolisch \[ \frac 1{F(D)}e^{ax} =\frac{e^{ax}}{F(a)}, \] falls \(F(a)\neq 0\) ist. Ist \(F(a)= 0\), so ist \[ \frac 1{F(D)}e^{ax}=\frac{x^re^{ax}}{F^{(r)}(a)}, \] wo \(r\) die kleinste positive ganze Zahl mit \(F^{(r)}(a)\neq 0\) ist.
