The main purpose of this interesting paper is to give new results concerning various entropies of hypersurfaces of manifolds with bounded geometry. The authors apply these results to obtain some answers in the following question of \textit{M. P. do Carmo} [Lect. Notes Math. 1410, 128--144 (1989; Zbl 0683.53052)]: Is a non-compact, complete, stable, constant mean curvature hypersurface \(M^n\) of \(\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\), \(n\geq 3\), necessarily minimal? Using the results about entropies, the authors give an affirmative answer to the question of do Carmo if the volume entropy of \(M^n\) is zero or if the total curvature entropy of \(M^n\) is zero and \(3\leq n\leq 5\).
