DJKM algebras and non-classical orthogonal polynomials (Q2637635)

In the paper under review the authors describe certain fourth order linear differential equations satisfied by the two elliptic families of polynomials that appeared as coefficients in the commutation formulae for universal central extension of the Date-Jimbo-Kashiwara-Miwa Lie algebra. The proof reduced to a lengthy technical computation, however, an advantage is that it can be done by hands and without computer (the latter was the case for some similar statements in the literature). As a consequence, the authors explain why these polynomials are orthogonal and non-classical, in particular, one of the families are examples of ultraspherical polynomials.
