Resonance identity for symmetric closed characteristics on symmetric convex Hamiltonian energy hypersurfaces and its applications (Q2637639)

For a symmetric compact convex hypersurface \(\Sigma\) in \(\mathbb R^{2n}\), the authors establish a new resonance identity for all geometrically distinct symmetric closed characteristics on it provided that the number of closed characteristics is finite. Then applying this result, they obtain some interesting results on the stability and multiplicity of symmetric closed characteristics. They also prove that if \(\Sigma\) is \(C^\infty\)-generic, it carries infinitely many symmetric closed characteristics.
