Let \(\epsilon =(\epsilon_ n)\), \(n=1,2,...\), be a sequence of positive reals tending to zero for n tending to infinity. Denoting by \(E_ n(f)_ p\) the best approximation of f in the \(L_ p\)-norm by trigonometric polynomials of degree at most n. The author estimates the order of approximation of the derivative \(f^{(r)}\) by the Féjer-Zygmund means of \(f^{(r)}\) in the \(L_ q\)- metric for \(1\leq p<q\leq 2,\) for functions which verify \(E_ n(f)_ p\leq \epsilon_{n+1}\).
