An algebra is defined to be a Tachikawa algebra if each of its indecomposable modules is either local or colocal. \textit{C. M. Ringel} [Pac. J. Math. 44, 309-336 (1973; Zbl 0254.16012)] has shown that if an algebra with square zero radical is QF-1, then it is a Tachikawa algebra. Also [in Lect. Notes Math. 488, 351-378 (1975; Zbl 0328.16016)] \textit{H. Tachikawa} proved that if an algebra with serial regular module is QF-1, then it is a Tachikawa algebra. In the paper the author gives a generalization of both these results in case where the ground field is algebraically closed. Theorem I: Let A be a finite-dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field. If A is a QF-1 algebra with a faithful serial module, then A is a Tachikawa algebra. In Theorem II he gives necessary and sufficient conditions for an algebra (of Theorem I) to be a QF-1 algebra with a faithful serial module.
