[This article is reviewed together with the preceding one (see Zbl 0719.55007).] Let E be a ring spectrum and X and Y CW-spectra. We say that X is quasi \(E_*\)-equivalent to Y if \(E\wedge X\) is isomorphic to \(E\wedge Y\) as E- module spectra. In the papers I and II the author is interested in the quasi \(K_*\)-equivalences, especially in the quasi \(KO_*\)-equivalence. A CW-spectrum X is said to be a Wood spectrum or an Anderson spectrum if it is quasi \(KO_*\)-equivalent to the cofiber C(\(\eta\)) or \(C(\eta^ 2)\), where \(\eta: \Sigma\) \({}^ 1\to \Sigma^ 0\) denotes the stable Hopf map of order 2. The purpose of the papers is to develop the recent work on Wood and Anderson spectra done by Mimura, Oka and Yasuo. The author mainly deals with CW-spectra X satisfying the following condition i), ii) or iii) in the first paper, and iv) in the second paper: i) \(KU_ 0X\) is free and \(KU_ 1X=0\); ii) \(KU_ 0X\) and \(KU_ 1X\) are free, on which the conjugation \(t_*=1\); iii) \(KU_ 0X\cong Z/2^ s\) or \(Z\oplus Z/2^ s\), \(KU_ 1X=0\) and \(KO_ 1X=0=KO_ 7X\); iv) \(KU_ 0X\cong H\oplus Z/2^ s\) with H free and \(KU_ 1X=0\). He shows a basic result related between the quasi \(KU_*\)- and \(KO_*\)- equivalence in the first paper. Using this basic tool he then gives a characterization of CW-spectra with one of the above conditions in terms of the quasi \(KO_*\)-types. By a different approach, \textit{A. K. Bousfield} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 66, No.2, 121-163 (1990; Zbl 0713.55007)] has established the characterization of CW-spectra X such that \(KU_ 0X\) and \(KU_ 1X\) are free.
