The q-Dyson conjecture involved the constant term in a certain rational function and was solved by Zeilberger and Bressoud. In this paper the authors give a combinatorial proof of another such theorem. The main result is the following: Let A and B be positive integers. The coefficient of \(z^{AB}\) in \[ \frac{(1-\lambda \mu z^{A+B})^{A+B}}{(1-\lambda z^ A)^ A(1-\mu z^ B)^ B}\text{ is } \begin{pmatrix} A+B-1\\ B\end{pmatrix} \lambda^ B+ \begin{pmatrix} A+B-1\\ A\end{pmatrix} \mu^ A. \]
