Let \(k\) be a nonnegative integer or infinity. For \(a\in \mathbb{C}\cap\{\infty\}\), let \(E_k(a, f)\) be the set of \(a\)-points of \(f\) where an \(a\)-point of multiplicity \(m\) is counted \(m\) times if \(m\leq k\) and \(k+ 1\) times if \(m> k\). If \(E_k(a, f)= E_k(a, g)\), we say \(f\) and \(g\) share the value \(a\) with weight \(k\) and denote this by \((a, k)\). The authors prove two uniqueness theorems: Let \(f\) and \(g\) be transcendental meromorphic functions such that \(f\) and \(g\) share \((0, k_1)\), \((1, k_2)\), and \((\infty, k_3)\), where \(k_1\), \(k_2\), \(k_3\) are positive integers for which \(k_1k_2k_3> k_1+ k_2+ k_3+ 2\). Then (i) if \(f'(z)- z\) and \(g'(z)- z\) share zero CM and if the order of \(f\) is not equal to 2, then \(f\equiv g\); (ii) if \(f'\) and \(g'\) share a finite nonzero complex number of CM and if the order of \(f\) is not equal to one, then \(f\equiv g\). These results improve a theorem of \textit{I. Lahiri} and \textit{P. Sahoo} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 324, No. 2, 1324--1335 (2006; Zbl 1102.30026)].
