Some asymptotic relations for the generalized inverse (Q2642195)

The aim of present paper is to investigate the connection between the asymptotic relations of subordination and the negligence with the generalized inverse function in the class of all nondecreasing and unbounded functions, defined on a half-axis \([a,+\infty)\) with \(a>0\). The first part of the paper includes definitions of the above mentioned concepts and a summary of results, which prove a characterization of all non decreasing, unbounded slowly varying functions. As the authors mention, some results of the works of \textit{V. V. Buldygin, O. I. Klesov} and \textit{J. G. Steinebach} in papers [Ukr. Math. J. 54, No. 2, 179--206 (2002) and Ukr. Mat. Zh. 54, No. 2, 149--169 (2002; Zbl 1006.60087), Teor. Jmovirn. Mat. Stat. 70, 9--25 (2004); translation in Theory Probab. Math. Stat. 70, 11--28 (2005; Zbl 1103.26001) and ibid. 71, 33--48 (2004); resp. ibid. 71, 37--52 (2005; Zbl 1101.26003)] have some similarities with some results of the paper under review, but nevertheless they are principally different.
